What is the difference between a market appraisal and a valuation?
A market appraisal is a free market estimate by an agent. A valuation is a validated report from an NRVT valuer and typically costs €500 to €800; only this is valid for a mortgage application.
Am I then tied to an agent?
No. A market appraisal is without obligation. You only enter into a commitment when you sign an agency agreement.
